Patients can be seen out of these hours by arrangement. The practice operates an appointment system. Please ensure that the secretarial staff are informed if your problem is an urgent one and you will be accommodated accordingly.
Children will be seen on the day of presentation. Immunization for children is done on any day of the week, preferably in the mornings, to be arranged in advance.
The practice remains open in a COVID environment. Strict adherence to infection control guidelines is in place. An active triage system is in place in order to facilitate a safe environment for everyone. Telehealth and video consultations are available.
If you are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms a negative PCR for COVID will be necessary prior to your attendance.
After Hour Care
The practice offers comprehensive after hours deputizing service. Patients are requested to phone 8724 6300 for an appointment. The practice is covered from 7pm to 7am weekdays. Calls after 7am are directed by the service to Dr. Segel at home. Weekend services are available 24 hours Saturday and Sunday and all public holidays. In accordance with Best Practice Standards should you have chest pain and or are feeling breathless please phone the ambulance service directly on 000 as speed is of the essence.
Telephone Protocol
Telephone access is always available in an emergency. Please inform the secretarial staff clearly that the situation requires an immediate response. Calls that are not urgent may be taken at the time depending on the workload. Should it not be possible to speak with you at the time of your call, your call will be responded to at the earliest available opportunity. The practice does not offer email advice on a routine basis.
